Thankyou very much for your comment!I did not have a picture as reference. This is painted in memory of a great friend. I had a very close friend who was a bohemian percussion player. He became a monk, but never could stop drinking, and finally died of this before he turned 40. He is buried in this monastery near Kiev. Now you will understand why the light is like this and the heavens, and why the building is like this. I painted it in 3 or 4 days because it is quite big. Almost 2 feet high.
